Great build quality, awesome bike leash! September 15, 2009

Attaching it to the bike was super easy, and the build quality of the bar and leash are great! We borrowed one from a friend for a week, and our 3 year old german shorthair got the hang of it within a couple of rides. We're buying one now! Our dog was scared of the bike at first, but doesn't get yanked around or hurt and is totally used to it now, the spring is very smooth and effective.
Make sure to tighten the clamp VERY well if your dog pulls, or the bar swivels and hits your leg while riding. No troubles when properly tightened. I HIGHLY recommend this leash for anyone who likes to ride, and feels bad leaving the dogs at home while you do. It's much easier than I thought it would be, and our dog loves it!
I would recommend using a harness type collar with this personally, but a regular collar or slide chain collar work as well. The harness gives a bit more freedom of movement to the dog.

Super fast shipping...I ordered this on Wednesday and it was delivered on Friday. I quickly attached it to my bike and then hooked up our 'Labra-doodle'.... I walked her down the street, then I hopped on the bike and we took off....SHE LOVES IT... we went right out for a 20 minute run/jog and did not have any problems at all. I am impressed with this item, and our dog is very happy too.

I love this device. It was very easy to install and it is far safer then having the leash wrapped around my wrist while holding onto the handlebars. My 2 yr old Greyhound mix has a timid streak and used to flinch at passing cars causing me to jerk the handlebars. With the Walky Dog she stays right by my side and I can concentrate on a safe ride. She adapted fairly easily to the Walky Dog. I highly reccomend this to anyone who wants to safely walk their dog while riding a bike.

This item was shipped quickly and was exactly as described in the listing. It was very easy to mount on the bicycle, I did it myself in a few minutes time. It feels very solid and well-constructed.
My 18 month old Golden, however, did not perform as expected and freaked out when I tried to clip her collar to the Walkydog, even after giving her an adjustment period. She is skittish by nature and I'm hoping that after some patience and positive experiences in the Walkydog's presence, I'll be able to use this product as intended. It is an awesome concept regardless.
My 22-year-old daughter was watching me trying to acclimate our Annie to the Walkydog and laughingly said it looked like I'd be adding it to my failure pile along with the Doggles I'd bought.
Anybody know where I can buy a muzzle for an adult child?

Got the product and quickly installed on the bike. Took my dog out the first time and it took a little bit for her to get the hang of it. Once she did.. there was no stopping her. Great item keeps her from getting tangled up in the wheels and helps me stayed balanced. No way for her to pull me over. Now as soon as we say walky dog she runs to the bike and waits for us to hook her up.
