I purchased this bag to take my 12 pound puppy on a plane. He fit perfectly in it, and it fit perfectly under the seat. I highly recommend this item!

I have two slightly larger cats - big boned and a little chunky at 13lb each. Both fit perfectly in the carriers. Whereas it does sag a bit, I don't feel like I'm smashing them with the sides of the carrier. They both seem to like these better than the typical hard-sided ones, and I've unfortunately had to use these repeatedly over the last two months due to some urinary blockage issues. No complaints. Easy to clean as well.

My cat's my best buddy (10lb tabby), and I was about to travel across the continent and over a huge mass of water for 14 hours. I wasn't going to put him through the trauma of being with the baggage if at all possible. So, there I was on the hunt for the best carrier for both he and I - for him, something comfortable and cozy, and for me, something that was easy to travel with, light, and gave me piece of mind that he was comfortable and cozy. This is the carrier that met my needs.
I went to the pet stores and "test drove" many bags, some were too uncomfortable to sling over your shoulder and had zippers and pockets that were difficult to manage - this carrier was none of the above. It had ample number of pockets to store toys and treats, and it had a very soft "bed" that's easily removable for cleaning. I double-checked dimensions on 3 different airframes as we were transferring planes from one airline to another... this carrier fit just fine when positioned on its side and tucked underneath the chair in front of me. Also, it's frame holds its shape well when pulled back out and fits easily in the space between you and the chair in front of you (might be a little tight for those with longer legs). Something I liked very much was the viewable space all around the carrier. There were enough "screened" sides on the carrier that made me feel my cat was getting more than enough air and had enough windows to look out and not feel claustrophobic.

We used this to take our cat on a plane. She's a bit less than 10 lbs, but big and fluffy. She fit perfectly in it and had room to turn around. The carrier worked for plane transportation perfectly. You can use the handles to carry it or a should strap. The top didn't collapse, which was something I was concerned with while she was under the airplane seat in front of us. I don't think anyone knew we had a cat with us -- the bag is designed in such a way to limit how much a person can see inside, but if you're close up, you can see your pet. The zippered opening so you can put your hand in to pet your pet or give your pet treats is great.

We bought this so we can take our 14lbs cat to the vet every so often (we live in NYC so we're walking) and it does the job very well. We originally had a hard case but that was difficult to carry. This is well built, very plush on the inside and has good access. Our cat is pretty long so he doesn't have much room but it's enough for him to go from front to back and vice versa. I'd recommend this.
